My chief dissapointment in Nintendo is that even though the tecnology is new, or at least new to videogames, their uses have yet to be maximized. So far, much of what we\'ve seen from the Wii is stuff the Eyetoy was doing last generation just greatly expanded upon. The same goes for the DS where touch gaming is something that isn\'t new when you look at the Palm community, but it is something I\'d expect a Nintendo first party to not only introduce, but fully utilize in one of its own games and that isn\'t a reality at this time.
Look at the N64 controller - definitely something that was new with an analog stick and trigger like buttons (Z) and the first game that utilized it greatly was Mario 64 and I\'m just not seeing that type of innovation and experimentation with the Wii or the DS as yet. It\'s like mm said, Mario is Mario and Zelda is Zelda, but how each have played hasn\'t changed since OoT and Mario 64 respectively - though they have certainly made far too many guest appearances throughout the years.
I don\'t know, maybe the magic of Nintendo IP\'s has dwindled for me over the years. I grew up, they didn\'t...
