I survived. Barely. Those bastards were right on my doorstep until the last one got popped. I have no idea how someone could get 17,000 points on this game. I managed 10,000 points at best.

don\'t see how u guys are getting past the bonus stages.  how many combo towers did u have?

I research Fire/Interest/Interest/Water.

once I get Fire, i sell everything and use fire towers only.

I\'ll upgrade only a few, the rest are low level fire. Once I get water, water helps slow down the enemies. I keep earning interest by keeping my buying to a minimum. After a while, I\'ll have like 5,000 gold and just fill up the board with fire towers and strategically placed water towes (lvl 2 for the splash).

I\'ve never gotten past the final stage. I think those scores were before the creator set a final stage.

build 2 cannons right below the "entrance"
alternate upgrading them once per level until you get to level 8.  research fire.
build 2 fire cannons right below the others and alternate leveling them untill level 22.
(increase your interest with the next two woods.  build more fire cannons on the center area as needed as the creatures get more hp\'s.
beat the game.

no clue how people are getting those insane scores legitimately.

Easier way to win...

2 cannons, upgrade in middle.  When you get fire cannons, sell and put up a few in the middle.

Put the next point you get into interest, and keep adding fire towers in the middle as needed, leaving yourself money for interest.

Next point into water - put some up right away near the towers, they effectively double the damage by slowing the creatures.

Last point into earth (useless towers), but gives you rockets.  You should have 1500-2500 gold, put up four rocket towers and upgrade (about 1k), and watch ultimate destruction (2000 damage huge range fast).  Keep rocket towers central and put up some water towers (cheap) to slow down movers.

I skipped Earth. I just went with (as stated earlier in my post above) Fire/Interest/Interest/Water

I put a about 3 canons in the middle. Kill everything until I get fire tech. I sell off the canon towers, and build a couple of fire towers. I\'ll add a few more as I get the warning for fast moving enemies. Maybe upgrade a couple or three. When I get a chance to research again, I choose interest - twice. Last chance to research will be for Water. By then, I\'ll have about 6000 gold coins to fill up the place with fire towers, several upgraded to lvl 2. The water towers are  important slowing down the enemies for prolonged abuse. :D
