With the ridiculous amount of time they spend on each car, you\'d thing they\'d make the vehicles able to be damaged. GT has become very boring over the years.

I think that as a racing game GT is still solid. It\'s just that people want more each time, which is understandable.

I used to think damage was a pretty big deal, but now I kinda don\'t care. I mean, the objective is to race (and preferrably without
hitting anyone/anything) so if you race like you should, damage is of no importance. But yeah, sure it\'s a nice addition.

But if you suck, damaging your car just makes it funnier. ;) And it motivates you to drive better the next time as not to drive up repair costs...or something. I just find GT to be rather repetitive. Ridge Racer for PS3 is just awful. I couldn\'t sit through 5 minutes of that game without feeling the urge to break the disc in half and feed it to my dog.

Kind of a bummer though because I used to really love the GT series. Dunno what happened. Meh...

i agree i don\'t think damage is a big deal, but i don\'t think that realistically the tech is ready for damage, i\'ve never played forza, but in GT the cars don\'t react like human drivers, they still follow a guided trail,...very rarely will i see the computer go around another car and nail it to get in front of him...when the computer acts more human then maybe the damage factor will be fun....and the racing experience as a whole will be more fun...

and yes i know at the end of the day it\'s a game, and even tho the tech is always advancing, getting the A.I. to act as humanely as possible is probably pretty difficult to do....i just don\'t like how if i\'m going into a turn *and i\'m on the inside lane* and the computer cars are on the outside lane they will literally crash into me just to get on the inside....i guess i\'m askin\' for alot since they do spend an incredible amount of time just to do one car, so maybe the A.I. is a minor after-thought...

I have question, how much did it cost to develop GT3 for the ps2? I was under the impression that it\'s was one of SONY\'s most expensive games development wise. If this is so, I would expect that the next installment would be of the same calibur.

I think I\'d prefer dynamic weather & lighting than damage modelling
Don't waste your words I don't need anything from you. I don't care where you've  been or what you plan to do. I am the resurrection and I am the light. I  couldn't ever bring myself to hate you as I'd like.

^^

GT5 will have both dynamic weather and lighting and in car cockpits. Damage has been hinted at, but its still not confirmed.

Next installment? GT4 was the last GT game on PS2.

Depends. If I only had a PS2 I wouldn\'t cry myself to sleep because I couldn\'t play Forza 2. But if I had an Xbox 360 I\'d get Forza 2.
