i played the first game and even tho it was kinda brutal, the stealth started to become very boring to me...i couldn\'t even finish it, but because of it(manhunt 2) bein\' banned over seas and havin\' that AO rating, sony and others are sayin\' that they do not want an AO rated game on their system....i don\'t see what the big deal is....what\'s the difference between an AO rating and a Mature rating anyway?..unless AO has some type of porn in it, i just don\'t get it, AO and Mature seems the same to me, only adults can purchase these types of games....after reading the article tho it seems like take-two is caving in to pressure....so they are probably going to take out some of the content, which if they do i\'ll be kinda dissappointed, the rating system is there for a reason,..let the developers do their thing.....thoughts?

It\'s the difference between R and NC-17. One is considered potentially appropriate with the right individual and maybe some parental supervision, the other is considered so objectionable by the reviewers that no one under 17 should see it at all.

There\'s a bit of a difference between icing suckas with a machine gun & blowing shit up (so to speak) and actively stalking and murdering people. One\'s cartoony, the other\'s realistic (sort of).

It\'s a shame Nintendo and Sony are too pussy to take the heat, not that they\'d ever try to release Manhunt as an AO title.

well seeing as I can\'t think of a successful AO title off the top of my head means that those guys in suits see loss in profit when they hear AO title.

Same reason why NC-17 is almost non-existant in mainstream theaters.

I figure they could always release the AO version on their website and sell M version in stores. That\'d get some hype going.

I guess the console manufacturers won\'t stand for that, though?

I\'ve had the original Manhunt for almost 2 years and I still haven\'t played it. I bought a bunch of used games then just never played them. Go figure
