Safari 3 Public Beta for Mac and Windows
« on: June 11, 2007, 07:19:29 PM »
Safari will now also be available for Windows. You can download it for Mac or PC right now ~> http://www.apple.com/safari/download/

The reasoning for this is because of the Apple iPhone. The iPhone works with Safari, so they wanted it to work on both Macs and PCs. I\'m posting this thread in Safari on Windows right now and it seems pretty fast. There are a few bugs here and there, but it\'s a pretty good browser. I still love Firefox, though. :thumb:

My favorite browser is Camino. Then Firefox. Then Safari. Then Opera. And then something I would write in C64 Basic. Then Internet Explorer. :D
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAPETIME!

I use Camino on my Mac too. :) It\'s now starting to be as stable and functional as it deserves to be. And in case you didn\'t already know, you can change the themes in Camino ~> http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/8278/caminicon

Hehe. ;)

P.S. I\'m still using Safari in Windows and it\'s been very stable.

It\'s not very customizable, no. There are plug-ins you can get for Safari on the Mac, but since it just came to Windows, there are none at all. If you are extension-happy, stick with Firefox.

I hear safari has had some security issues, although its Beta so i\'m not terribly surprised.  It\'ll be nice to be able to run safari, firefox, and IE  on the same PC when developing sites, but I doubt i\'ll use it for anything more.
Wrong. There are two other people who can.

it\'s certainly blazing fast and really "cute". But it\'s filled with bug. A lot of actual text missing from web pages. I can import, create or add any bookmark. The program actually crash on me.

As far as security goes, M. Gates probably hired all the best security tester available to try to find any holes they could find.

If they can fix bugs and other issues people have reported, it will be a really nice browser.
can\'t see why not!
