Overclocking on videocards is easy... nvidia has a built in overclocking utility when you install their driver. You basically can have it find the highest stable overclock, or you can find it on your own.
You don\'t have to worry about messing up your card, as it won\'t let you move to a setting that your card can\'t handle. Plus it will only overclock when a 3d application kicks in, and will stay at stock during web-browsing and whatnot.
Now overclocking a CPU, that gets a bit more involved and hazardous. Although I\'ve ran my Dual Core Opteron 800mhz above stock for the past 1.5 years without any instability issues.
