COD4 profile problem

I recently installed Windows again but I didn\'t think about backing up my COD4 profile. So now I\'m wondering if it\'s possible to download and use other people\'s profiles? I just don\'t know if I can cope with having to start all over again at level 1.

Usually it\'s a gamesave in the Documents & Settings/user Folder right?  If not check gamefaqs for some level skip console commands.

I\'m talking multiplayer, I don\'t think you can skip levels there.

i dont think ur rank would get reset from uninstalling the game. I\'ve installed/reinstalled bf2 (i only have cod4 on 360) numerous times and never lost my rank. It\'s in their system, so whenever you log back in it shouldve kept everything the way it was.

that\'d suck if its not that way. but since there is a leaderboard, im assuming its all still there. Have you reinstalled cod4 yet?

Apparently the rank is saved locally on the PC version... pretty stupid IMO.

that\'s really dumb. hope that wont become a trend with pc games.

Yeah, I think it\'s dumb too.  I\'m sure there is a way to hack an account to get lvl 55 and all the guns/perks.. but it\'s not the end of the world having to start over.  I\'ve been contemplating starting over myself just to see how quickly I can get back up to lvl 55 with how much I\'m scoring now on HQ games.

What level were you up to Sammy?

"Only" about 38. But I liked my weapons and perks.

I found some sort of hack to get to level 55. But I\'m reinstalling Windows ATM so I haven\'t tried it yet.
