AM Show: Tekken 6 Bloodline Rebellion detailed

Bandai Namco brought out a playable version of the latest Tekken update to the Amusement Machine Show, being held on the outskirts of Tokyo through Saturday. Tekken 6 Bloodline Rebellion is, as the name suggests, an update to Tekken 6, featuring new characters, stages, and items.

The game includes two new characters, Alisa Bosconovitch and Lars Alexandersson. Yes, those are the actual English spellings, and it took me three passes through the AM Show trailer to write them down completely...

So PS3 is not getting Tekken 6, but Tekken 6 Bloodline Rebellion.

:)     Well, I was expecting this;  They need more money to survive, they need both Markets ;)    And Square/Enix too.  More money for them, more games for us.

I read the news  5 minutes ago.

Wasn\'t one of the most famous XBox360 game exclusive to MS?   Caught Bioshock caught.
...and in 12 days PS3 fans will play Bioshock.
Just forget about most exclusives from 3rd party developers, maybe just time-exclusive.
Companies need more money to survive.   PS3 and XBox360 are on the same boat. It\'s business.

hmmm so tekken 6 BR comes out this dec on arcades and then almost fall 2009 for consoles... so tired of seeing ps3 games held back by 360 ports but when its other way around games come out on 360 first...

my point is that you say things like "lets keep our fingers crossed" for games that might be ps3 exclusive, but im all for every game being on both consoles. ive never said anything remotely close to being disappointed about bioshock on ps3 (or any game on any console for that matter)

Well, I understand your point.
I said  "lets keep our fingers crossed" about the Strong Rumor Kingdom Hearts III Exclusive to PS3  (time exclusive? or maybe nothing, we\'ll see)
I would love this Game on PS3 only, or on PS3 with time-exclusive, or on PS3 first so that devs could push Bluray and the Built-in HD in every console.  And the same for FFXIII, developed first on PS3(If it\'s true : I stopped to believe anything coming from the mouth of SE).
While a game like Tekken6 is gonna be the same on both consoles.
But we know, money is what really matters, and we will see more multi-platform games, looking the same, with almost the same features/contents, with some DLC if the company pay extra $$$.
Lately I started to be indifferent to this kind of "news", it\'s like business work.

sorry im a bit aggrevated that im seeing so many games that come out on 360 first, some i can understand are paid timed exclusives which is fine altho still annoying. but others like last remnants which is nothing more then development issues with unreal engine 3 on ps3 but it comes out this nov for 360... but ffxiii which is going to be completed on ps3 development before its even ported over to 360 is going to wait till 360 is done before releasing stateside version.

with tekken 6 being made for arcades on ps3 equipment - tekken 6 could have been in our hands for ps3 by this spring but instead now we have to wait for 360 and the problems mentioned in that article that they are gonna need to work around which just takes time. so now ps3 and 360 versions come out in fall 2009...

i guess i just dont ever see anything working in ps3 favor lately when it comes to multiplatform releases

Every news thing i\'ve heard with ffxiii and tekken have just said they\'re releasing simultaneously..nothing to the effect that theyre holding off releasing a complete ps3 version until the 360 version is done.

if the ps3 version of either game was complete, there would be no financial reason to wait for the 360 version to be complete. not like bioshock or a few other 360 games have lost sales because they released it before the ps3 version

so i\'d have to see a news release that explicitly says "the ps3 version is delayed because of the 360 version"

Harada admits there will be challenges in taking Tekken 6 to the 360, given that the original arcade version was built on a PS3-based architecture. "When we tried to move it to the 360, it would be a lie to say I wasn\'t concerned. It is quite difficult. For example, on the PS3 you have the Blu-ray Disc as well as the hard disk, which lends itself to a lot of options for the game. We don\'t necessarily have this for the 360, where it has a DVD and it may not have a hard disk by default. So there are various things that we have to overcome when porting this to the 360, but I\'m sure we can do it," he said.

I already know I will get Tekken6 for PS3  :D
Anyway XBox fans will still play the Game as well.
