Alien Swarm (free game on steam)

Anybody else pick it up.. for free why wouldn\'t you?

Impressions?

played for an hour or so with viper and 2 other friends for the full 4 player co-op experience and it was pretty badass.  I had low expectations of the game because it was free, but everything about it was good.  Good character classes, good weapon variety (so far), lots of weapons and powerups to unlock manage and I love the fact that you aren\'t going to do shit if you don\'t use teamwork.

Overall I would give it a 8/10... co-op mode was a blast.

yea, I like it a lot. curious if it has the legs to stay in my library but ill enjoy it while it lasts.

I think an 8 is a fair score, and for free thats pretty awesome. I like how they took a bunch of different aspects of different games with some left 4 dead, battlefield (classes), gears of war (active reload) and made a game that was just fun to play
