What do you think of Sony\'s plans to part with AOL?  I personally disagree considering the horrible times I have had with AOL on online games.

I hope to God that Sony and AOL don\'t hook up for their online service. I had AOL long ago.....I could not stand it. AOL and online games don\'t mix. Sony stay away from AOL please!

You think anyone is gonna take your word over mine.

Sony  is setting up ties with multiple online providers includign AT&T.

I also assume we should be cable of connecting to Sony\'s broadband network thorough any broadband provider, its just that SOny wants to package some deals together just like when you buy a new PC etc...

I agree that AOL is pure evil but I doubt that Sony would go ahead with these talks if they werent confident that AOL couldnt provide the type of service they intend to bring online for the HDD/Ethernet users.

as ddaryl mentioned,AOL will be one of many online providers, not the only one...and there is nothing wrong with an AOL connection via a PS2,as some will want to connect to the net / AOL / etc. to just browse,it will be a cheaper alternative way from the PC for a change. i\'m all for speeding up the online process for the PS2 anyways,it will encourage developers, etc. to get things started
