Youtube is going to add 48 and 60 fps video playback

Google has given a sneak preview of new features and updates coming in the coming months on Youtube, which inlcude playback of video footage at 48 and 60 frames per second.

The new feature means the footage you capture on your PC - or your console, if you're playing one of the select titles that runs at 60 frames per second on those machines - will run at its native speed and keep that smooth video game feel.

Until now, Youtube was showing videos locked to 24 or 30 frames per second.

i think beside video locked at 24 or 30, there are other frame rate that are supported like 25 fps i think, as long as it was under 30 fps.  in the coming months, higher than 30 fps are also supported which i think is cool.  i am not sure if 50 fps are supported though since it said only 48 and 60 fps...

At least you can skip some unlike other sites. I wish youtube was like the old days where you can find clips of shows or whole episodes. But no, copyright laws had to fuck everything up

and link overlays that are placed in a way that you can't disable them....

and members that use annoyingly lengthy intros, the sort that are swamped with flashy animations that go on for 30-45 seconds and more.

I think Firefox has add ons that block the ads. I haven't tried any yet. Still working on getting my computer back to where it was before my Windows 7 reinstall. If I remember tomorrow, I'll download it and give a review.
