Researchers at microsoft have deveoped algorithms and software tools that could be used by biologists in order to reprogram DNA and create more complex behaviors in living cells.

Synthetic biologists, designers, researchers are at work on giving life to far-fetched ideas, such as creating an item of clothing with medicinal properties that would help fight cancer, or develop a building material that repaired itself or began biodegrading at a prescribed moment.

Why does my intuition say this is bullshit and satire. If it is true I don't think Microsoft should be messing with DNA. When they can get a windows os to not lock up or blue screen then we'll talk.

Paul, can you find another source for this? There has been a proliferation of satire sites like the onion in recent years. I'd like to see it from another source
