Happy Thanksgiving Guys!
« on: November 24, 2016, 09:36:27 PM »
Happy Thanksgiving Guys.

This year is probably the worst thanksgiving i ever had.  If not the worst, possibly one of the worsts.  I waited for 45 minutes for the bus to come by so i can take the bus to go to the gym.  i didn't make the connection that today is thanksgiving that is why there are less buses coming on this street.  no wonder there are less people in the bus too.

when the bus nearly reach my destination, i did pull the string soon enough, but probably not soon enough for the bus driver to stop so she didn't stop at the bus stop but continue to drive to the next bus stop before she stops.  so i have to walked back nearly half a block to get to the gym.  it was like 1:35 p.m. when i get there.  i worked out for like 25 minutes when one of the gym workers announced that gym is closed at 2 p.m. for thanksgiving.  so i left feeling a little bit disappointed but i wasn't that angry though because at least i get to work out for like 20 to 25 minutes before its closed.  it could have been worst, i might arrive at the gym at 2 p.m. or later and won't get to work out at all.  so its not that bad.

so on my way home, i walked one block back to check out this park and it was smaller than i thought and nothing really interesting for me to play.  so i used a restroom there and walked another 2 blocks to find a bus stop with a bench so i can sit down to wait for the bus.  i did see a few bus stops in between those 2 blocks that i walked but there is no bench to sit until after 2 blocks later.  luckily the bus didn't pass me by as i walked 2 blocks to find a seat to sit.  i sit there for like 5 to 10 minutes and bus came and i took it to get back home.  i had a feeling the bus won't come until nearly an hour after the time i was at the gym to the time i walked in total 3 blocks to wait for the bus to come.  luckily i kind of estimated it correctly, otherwise i have to walk another 2 blocks to get home.

so overall, this year was possibly the worst thanksgiving i ever had but it could have been worst though.

so how was everyone's thanksgiving?

Mine was good. Just went to my aunts house for the day and picked up a buddy to hit up a bar. Though I knew it was Thanksgiving, some bars open late to cater to the bar crowd that doesn't want to deal with family anymore, lol. No place was open where we usually go (not much of a shocker) so we drove to a hotel bar which are open any day of the year, had a couple drinks and shot some pool. Then tonight, I'm going with a girl I've been seeing to her friends house for a second Thanksgiving.

Hey Paul, what kind of exercises do you do in the gym?

i did many kind of exercises.  shoulder press, chest press, arm curl, triceps extension, abs extension (i think that is what its called), pectoral fly, calves extension, legs press, etc.  i also run on a treadmill for 7 minutes, and a machine that is similar to a treadmill ( i don't know what its called) for 8 minutes, and bicycling for 7 minutes.

There is also hydro massage beds that members can use to massage their back body.  the first couple of months, i use that massage bed 2 - 3 times a day.  but since the beginning of this month, i use it once a day.

every 2 days after all the workout and back body massage, i swim in the swimming pool.  there is a swimming pool there, a steam room there, a jacuzzi, and sauna rooms.  so far, i only use the sauna room like once or twice and i am lazy to use it again.  maybe in the future i would use it again.  just recently i went back to use the steam room and jacuzzi.  at first i did use the steam room and jacuzzi for a month and i thought the heat made my the infection on my private area worst.  so i didn't use it for over a month.  just a week ago, i realize it wasn't really the heat that prolong the bacteria infection on my private area so i go back to using the steam room and jacuzzi again and enjoy it.

everyday in the morning before breakfast, i did push ups at home as my first exercise for the day.  at first i was only able to do 5 pushups, then eventually up to 10, then 20, 25, and 30.  my mom said i didn't go low enough when i did the push ups.  its still too high.  so i go lower and i was only able to do 25 push ups so far.

8 days ago, my psychiatrist weight me and i weight 212 pounds.  i think my normal weight is 195 pounds.  so i am 17 pounds overweight.  it could have been worst though.

oh yeah, the worst thing that happened to me yesterday wasn't really the 45 minutes wait for the bus but the heat from the sun.  i have to sit there 45 minutes with the hot sunlight flashing my face and i got hot headed that i got angry as the bad memories of the past came up.  i remember what my first boss said back in summer 2001,  she told me to tell her about it if i have trouble cleaning something as i was cleaning and i told her i did, and then she asked what?  i got angry because i told her i did ( told her) and she still asked what.  luckily, when the bus arrived, i got into the bus and the cool air cool me down.

i am very sorry for the long story.  its just that i have too many problems.  again, really sorry.

Sounds like an expensive gym membership lol. I go to my company's gym. It's free and only dumbbells, a couple treadmills, ellipticals and bikes and a couple weight machines.

I'd kill for some warmth right now. In my state the weather dropped in the 30s

thanks for the nice words.  the gym membership is not that expensive at all actually.  there are 2 options to pick for the gym membership.  $9.99 per month for people who just wanted to workout only like dumbbells, treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and weight machines.  yeah, you help me remember the word that i didn't know what one of the machines is called that is similar to treadmill.  elliptical that is.  the second option is $19.99 per month that include all the workout machines and hydro massage, swimming pool, steam room, jacuzzi, and sauna.  it probably include workout classes too i think.

but here is the catch, you have to make one year subscription membership for its to cost $9.99 per month or $19.99 per month.  So in my case, it would cost $240 per a year.  They also include 2 other fees like start up fee which is like $39 i think and annual fee which is $29.99.  So in my case, that would be like nearly $310 per year actually.  i just checked out it site and it said it cost $281.67 for 1 year premium membership.  interesting.  maybe its a bit cheaper subscribe it online or something.

your company's gym sounds pretty good too for having many of the important workout equipment and you get to workout for free.

you make me appreciate that i get to live in california because on most days, the weather is really warm.  hope you have a heater in your house and your workplace so you can get some warmth.

Sounds like a typical gym. I joined a couple in my past and the one was like that. To get the cheaper rate you have to sign a contract for a year. Typical sales tactic. They do it hoping people don't go, lol. New Years is the biggest money making time for gyms. They get the New Years resolution crowd who then end up not going after a few weeks. So they easily make like 300+ per person for the year, lol.

Of course I have a heater, lol. They're actually expecting my state to have a really hard winter. It's already getting pretty cold and we already had snow last Saturday (it was 70 during the day and dropped to below freezing by night). I'm hoping it's a very snowy winter though. We're going through a drought and our reservoirs are at all time record lows. It's depressing hiking around them. A heavy snowfall during the winter should bring them back up.

actually, member can cancel the gym membership and only pay $50 cancellation fee if cancel within the year.  or after the year is over, member can cancel it without the fee.  but member have to cancel it 10 days before billing date.

my mom opened a gym membership in september 2015 and she only went for a couple of times then she stop.  i forgot - either that or i didn't know that you can cancel early with a $50 fee charge and they won't charge you monthly fee anymore.  so in late August of this year, i opened a membership and that's when i realize you can cancel early with $50 cancellation fee.  if i realize that earlier, i would have told my mom to cancel late last year so she won't have to paid 1 year contract of over $300.  lol.  oh well.  the whole year, i believe she didn't go anymore after a couple of times.  i think she used the steam room once or twice and she got sicked from it.  that's why she didn't use it anymore and she is old that's why she doesn't want to workout.

i think we also have a drought in california and my mom said the news radio told us to conserve water.  so we tried to conserve water here too.  but i only shower once every 2 days instead of every day so i think that helps conserve water too.  lol.  my mom shower a bit less than i do, she only shower about once every 3 days too which help save water.  on the weekdays, i go to the gym daily and shower every two days there too.  hope that all of us restore water in our states. :)

California has been in a drought for a while, hasn't it?

Tough for me to conserve water. I like taking long hot showers. Government can suck my left nut on that one, lol. I'll put the aerators on my faucet and shit like that but showers are off limits, lol.

yeah, i think california has in be in drought for nearly 2 years.  luckily, we got lot of rain yesterday which is cool.

the reason why i shower once every 2 days is because i watched some lady on the internet said that dermatologist suggests that we shower once or twice every 3 days because its better for our skins.

i like taking long warm or cool shower too but not everyday though - only every 2 days instead.

That's all well and good. But I work in an office. I don't want to smell and look my best. Even when I'm off and not going anywhere, I shower. If I don't shower every day, my hair gets greasy and I smell like BO. Not to mention my butt crack doesn't feel clean after I take a couple massive dumps and don't wash it in the shower, lol. I don't like the greasy hair, BO smell and rotchey ass crack.

2 days ago on november 30, as i was in the bus either heading to the gym or heading back home, i paid attention to this same park that i checked out on thanksgiving day and i noticed there is another children playground on the lower left side of the park.  luckily, i was sitting on this seat on the bus facing the windows that show the side view of the park and luckily i was paying attention.  otherwise i would have missed it.  didn't know there is another monkey bars and playground on the lower left and back side of the park.

so today, after i finished working out at the gym, i decided to walk a block to get to this park to check out this playground.  i was surprised that i miss this second playground when i first checked out this park on thanksgiving day.  at least i get to check out this park first on thanksgiving.  shows you how dumb and retarded i can be.

so today, when i get to the park again, i was thinking what if this second playground on the back is limited and nothing interesting to play.   As i get closer to the 2nd playground, it has quite a few things that i love and can play on.  it has this monkey bars where the ring handle bars are triangle shape that is movable and i just did a back flip on it.  at first i was planning on hanging upside down holding onto the bars, but probably my weight pulled me over that i had no choice but to flip backward and luckily i land on my feet.  otherwise i might land on my butts which might hurt my hips and pelvis.

its been a year since i last flipped backward on a monkey bar.  the last time i flipped backward on a monkey bar was either late november or early december of last year.  since then, i gained so much weight that i don't have the energy and more importantly the agile to flipped backward on a monkey bar.  that time i have no clue there is a misunderstanding thinking i stole cookies in a cookie jar when i didn't steal it, i just take the left over cookies without asking because of my social anxiety disorder.  no wonder they make me gain weight and made me crave for sweet food and drink until about 8 month later when i cleared that up is when they make me eat less and crave less sweet food.

now i am just happy to find a very cool playground to play with and enjoy.  finally a year later i get to flipped backward on a monkey bar.  oh yeah, the swings are very tall too.  its tempting for me to flip backward standing on the swing and sitting on a swing too.  maybe i will try that someday.  another thing, i also noticed there are two poles holding the monkey bar together, i might hang up-side down holding the two poles someday too. :wav: :)

Working out is a waste of calories.  ;)

Anyway, we hosted Thanksgiving again this year. Entire family came over. No one cares for turkey (roasted or baked), so I grill three whole chickens over charcoal. Came out tasty and with a nice smokey flavor. Wow. They all loved it. No leftovers. Sorry I've been away so long.
