Silent Hill movies - can you handle them?

Silent Hill 2: (Fall 2001)
As the game begins, a man receives a letter from his wife, now dead for three years. She claims she is waiting for him in the small town of Silent Hill, a place of apparent sentimental significance to the couple. Understandably spooked, the man travels to the town, only to become embroiled in an odyssey of horror. The team behind the game has been allowed to take off the gloves this time, getting as frightening and bloody as they want. Even the trailer spooked us silly.

My thoughts...

Not that they were all entirely scary, but there were moments. I dl all the movies and it definitely got me more hyped than any other game. Definitely one of the few PS2 games that gave me the same feeling if not better than first witnessing Sonic Adventure and other early DC games. (hey with graphics like that for the first time, everything else later on didn\'t seem all that exciting).

2 questions come in mind?

- How much of this game is complete?

- Does it in anyway resolve around the first SH? (it doesn\'t seem like it)

Nothing to do with the original silent hill. Nada. Some of the places will be the same like the Jewelry shop and the bridge. Remember that Dalia in the first said that there was a fire that killed tons of people in silent hill, and that is why it\'s so evil. Silent Hill tricks people into coming if it wants something they have... (Dalia wanted Cheryl)

Oops forgot to add. The game comes out in august in both american and Japan. We have a while to go, but we may get a demo with that one game (not ZOE)

I swear, the 2nd trailer could be used for the SH2 commercial, kinda like Blair Witch. (even though the movie sucked, the commercial was creepy)

One of the scariest games ever enters the realm of PS2.

The critics rave "blah blah blah" or "blah blah blah".

Coming Oct 2001.

I thought that I just read that at the \'Konami Day\' game show they said they rescheduled the release date to 1st half of 2001.  I think this game will probably come out in May or June if this is true.  Ahead of schedule...I like it.

In the first paragraph it say...

"PS2 fans will be glad to know that Konami announced Silent Hill 2, Ring of Red, Shadow of Destiny, and Zone of Enders (Z.O.E) for PlayStation 2 in the first half, 2001."

Here\'s the link...

I love movies and I will tell you what I thought about the first couple.

The first one wasn\'t scary, it was sad!
\"In the last 12 months 100,000 private sector jobs have been lost and yet you\'ve created 30,000 public sector jobs. Prime Minister, you cannot carry on forever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fund an unprecidented engorgement of the unproductive bit. You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt.\" - Daniel Hannan

Part 2 was ok, better than pt. 1, but still lacking something. Part 2 set the mood. Part 3 is not there.  Part 4 well, it was awesome.  It showed the game\'s true colors.  Part 5 was also pretty good, connecting that one to the first one.

"I\'m here for you James" Then we see that monster pick up the dwead nurse. Then in the next movie, it\'s looks house on haunted hill (remake). High speed shaking. I can\'t wait for Konami\'s The Thing, though. It\'s been confirmed for Ps2 and Xbox, but won\'t be out untill like 2002.

We should actually see it sooner...
