STAND-BY MODE. HOW DO YOU ACTIVATE IT, AND WHAT DOES THE SCREEN LOOK LIKE?

Stand by mode. Just take a game out. Hold the power button (one on the front) for a second or so. It will turn the LED red. Then its on standby mode.
What does it look like? Nothing. Its basically not on.

Step one: Read the directions.
Step two: Push the green button and make it red.
Done

Not to be rude. But Video is right. Read the directions. Don\'t rush to the forum for simple questions, when you have an instruction manaul, that solves these common things.

Then again, when asking if you can get married... please revert to the marriage booklet in your sock drawer.  Pg. 137 part 1a-3c.

That\'s great, but the question was how to turn it on to standby mode..
I wear a necklace now because I like to know when I\'m upside down.
