I can understand having problems playing DVDs though the VCR since they are macrovision encoded, but if you can see a DVD with plugging into the TV, you should be able to see the game system too.  You may need to explain a bit more as in what you are actually seeing as the problem.  Are you getting nothing at all?  Are you getting the sound of the game and no picture?  Is the picture all garbled?  Are you getting porn?  That may not be a problem...  Let us know more!!!

here might be the possible problem.  could it be that you push channel 3 but not channel video?  coaxial use channel 3 while the three rca colored plug you were refering to use channel video.  to switch to channel video, use a remote control and on the tv/video button, push it and it wil switch to video.  and for older tvs, you might want to push the setup button and switch it to video.  i am not sure if that your problem.

like videoholic has said, the reason when watching dvd that was plug to vcr get discolored and frame jumping have to do with macrovision.  what\'s macrovision?  it a thing that they put on the dvd to prevent you from copying it to tape and do illegal things you know.  So, I suggest you to plug the three color plug (RCA cable) to your tvs.
