11 million PS2\'s sold by march 2001?

Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that it has been able to ramp up production of its PlayStation 2 console and has set a new sales forecast of 11 million consoles by March 2001. Its previous estimates predicted worldwide sales of 10 million units by March of next year. Sony has sold approximately 4 million PlayStation 2 consoles in Japan since its release, despite the company\'s recent bout with manufacturing and logistical problems.

well its great news the production is up to par. People should have no problems getting PS2\'s by the end of January, and if people are still having problems, then demand is larger that I thought

But I already have one so no probs here.

And it doesn\'t end there. Thousands of hungry finnish men and women are still waiting for their PS2. No riots \'tho.

Now when they start really producing their consoles Ps2 will sell well enough before X-box or GC.

This is getting more and more interesting...
