Anyone completed SSX trickbook?
« on: January 07, 2001, 08:22:05 AM »
I\'ve gotten gold medals for all boarders in all events. (actually I did all the races & my brother did all the showoff tracks)
The only thing left is completing the trick books.  The most I\'ve been able to complete for any one racer is like 35. Has anyone been able to complete a trickbook (and get the character to glow) yet? It\'s damn hard.
I\'ve found it\'s easiest to use Tokyo (that big wind tunnel) so you can easily count rotations and have plenty of time to execute tricks.
Anyway, I\'m getting bored and considering just giving up. I swear I\'m doing the trick correct, but they never give it to me ("It\'s a Mute, instead of a Mutation, etc..")

I\'ve completed everyone\'s trick books. Except Hiro\'s, which is all messed up. The names, command and even trick pics don\'t match each other, I\'m utterly confused. And disappointed.

Anyhows, I\'ve found the easiest way is to go to freeride mode and head on to Pipedream. The first jump is perfect for hard tricks, and you can perform simple flips/rotations in the bowls. Then there\'s a couple more big jumps (if you take the right side route from the bowls). And right before the finish line you can use the vertical wall to do yet more tricks. I performed 34 of Elise\'s trickbook tricks on one run :) And if you perform a big trick on the first jump you can quickly get to the finish line and have another go to get some other trick. I myself don\'t see how the air-tunnel in Tokyo would be good for the tricks... the camera-angle changes when you enter the pipe, making things difficult.
