I was curious because i got my new reciever the other day and i am completely blown away with how awesome dolby digital is !!
I was watching titan ae and the sound in it was incredible !! If the dolby digital in the bouncer (even if it is just cut scenes) is anything like this i will probably p!ss my pants.

I did not know that you could play bouncer yet..  Demo..??
If it is then I don\'t have it..

And yes, dolby Digital r0cks dood.   You should hear DTS..  I did not think there would be a big diference between DD and DTS, because DD sounded so good.  But there is and I was amazed....  peace

Really ? DTS sounds better than dolby digital hmmmm.
I have my reciever on auto format decode and alot of dvd\'s have dolby digital and dts. I wonder if mine will automatically  go for dts or if its whatever the dvd specifies as priority  ahh who knows better go check it out

My receiver will detect the signal comming from whatever source.  It displays on the front of it if its in DD or DTS.

What type of receiver is it and does it do DTS..??

There is definetly noticble difference in the two.  I have a demo disk that shows, err lets you hear, side by side the difference in DD and DTS, and Im telling you DTS sounds incredible.

But just like everything else its just an opinion, some people can hear the difference, some can\'t..

The DD vs DTS argument has been argued over for years in the HT world.  Bottom line:  It all depends on the equipment and soundtrack.

A nice Tag McLaren Processor and some Mark Levinson speakers will yield better comparison results than a sub $1000 receiver.  When tested on very high-end gear, audiophiles swear there is no difference at all between the 2 formats.

Hmmmm, I guess the better thing to say is- it all depends on your equipment.  If you think DTS sounds better then go for it. :)
