Holy Crap! look at ps2 halflife shot!

There\'s difference between PC and PS2 graphics; and the shadows look very real, but I can\'t say anything about DC version compared to PS2.

But I agree that you shouldn\'t judge the final game from one pesky shot. I think it\'s going to be beautiful and interesting to see what the game contains ( as extraz ).

I\'m happy that half-life is made ( even \'tho it\'s an old game, it\'s one of the best FPS\'s ever! ) so the experience can spread to Sonyists too ( wich don\'t have the classic on computer... well, that\'s quite rare but... well I think everyone has had it ).

It\'s a great game and IF you haven\'t played it I suggest you to get it to your computer ( Half-Life Generation pack is wonderful ) or then wait for it to come out to PS2.

well as expected,the PS2 model is way better than the pc model shown (by the way,i use a tnt2 video card so i was wondering if your Gforce card made pics any better at low res.,why i asked to see a captured pic,but looks \'bout the same as mine could deliver at that res.) but the surrounding textures are not too much difference but does look cleaner on PS2 pic (but remember this is still a mag pic as ddaryl said). the big difference seems to be the lighting and shadowing from the pics,a big benefit of the PS2 offers.

I agree with MD on the most part. But this 1 thing.

It\'s not the ps2.. It\'s more about, When HL came out on pc.. There really wasn\'t anything like REALTIME lighting.. Now geforce cards do T&L. Games like Q3, UT etc use this. So the shadows on the newer pc games are just as good as any shadow ps2 can render.
But the cost is alot more.
If HL was made on pc TODAY. I wonder how it would be better. I\'m guessing the textures would be sharper and clearer. There would be WAY better lighting and shadows etc. But the game was made in the 3DFX era. So we got what we got. Untill/If a patch comes out that can give the game a rehall.

good point you mention,but then it comes back down to the original post by Chrono and when you look at the pics after what we have seen now,i think his statement is clearer and right to the point.

i used to play cs on my pc and i rocked.
but after version1 was released my PC just couldnt handle the graphics and it was runnin at 5 fps.
ah well i know ill be buyign half-life on the PS2

According to the developers, one of the most noticable differances will be the models. On the PC the models had to be "toned down" to compensate for some peoples S#it boxes. They went all out and made some kick ass models. The comparison between the PC and DC models was really impressive.

BTW, This is from Next-Gen. I have been quoting them a lot lately.

Ill probally get this game when it comes out.But does any one know when it is out???
