New need for speed in developement for the PS2! *rumor*

since our site is still not up (gosh, it takes a long time to get a site that big up and running)

Both my source and Dark Devils source (from the ign boards) has heard mention of a Need for Speed title for the ps2, Dark Devils source also heard of an x-box need for speed title also, my source (right 90% of the time I just don\'t post the info here) said his friend was working on it and has not heard about a X-box version (in other words he was not working on it and did not hear about it, that does not mean its not in the works)

Remember, this is not fact but RUMOR (meaning its not been offically annouced)... its a possible fact, but don\'t make a bet, lose sleep or hurt yourself and be mad at me if its not true

I\'m not joking,I\'d take a NFS over a Gran Turismo any day. I love those games,I really hope one would some how find it\'s way on the PS2 or any system for that matter.Imagine a NFS3 port....*drools*

There is a great chance of it happening, I just call it rumor cause I don\'t want people to take it as fact. I am over 90% sure it will happen.

I agree, that would rock! Need For Speed is way better than Gran Borismo (get it? cause its boring? ahh, screw it... ).

I for one think Need for Speed is crappy. I\'d pick Gran Turismo over NFS any day. But I wouldn\'t mind a PS2 version as I\'m sure some people would like it. I\'m just not one of them.

Well lets just hope the makers do a much better job this time around on the game .  I know the last few ports were great but they never really captured the original version that appeared on the i\'ll fated 3DO some years back .
That first game in my opinion was the best Need For Speed ( on 3DO ) game made and no other console has yet to beat the way the game looked or played  ( im not talking about other racing games here .........just NFS ...........in my opinion PS1 or the pc hasnt improved or come close to the original )

Gran Turismo is more simulation orientated...while Need For Speed is an Action Racing game....racing through traffic and being chased by cops.

So they are in different leagues.

I hope they follow NFS1 because the car controls realistically and more stable.
