I\'ll have to say that FFVII had better storyline; thought that FFVIII was more kind of graphical thing than a good fantasy-book, but I had nothing against the sci-fi-look; FFVII had a sci-fi look to it also. The musics are great in both of the games; I was literally hooked like a fish to those games for several months! And still am ( FFVII - started again
)...
For me the graphics in a fantasy-game are on zero-level in terms of importance; of course they add atmosphere a little, but I was as hooked to the previous FF\'s than to the new ones - they were as atmospherical even without those FMV\'s and nicer musics and better graphics. They weren\'t so large, but large they were still.
For FFX I couldn\'t care less if the graphics came out to be dull after all ( wich they don\'t seem to be but anyways ) if the world is 3d after all, and it\'s been done the correct way ( don\'t ask me about the correct way \'tho because it\'s very hard to explain ) it\'s good to me. Only things that matter to me are... ( and what I\'m waiting forward to in FFX ):
-Long, interesting and exciting storyline
-Character Personalities; they\'ll have to be complex and they\'ll have to be different enough and interesting enough to keep the characters loveable and good
-Music to add the atmosphere ( I\'m fully trusting to square on this one because there isn\'t a Final Fantasy with bad graphics
)
those are the three main things. Then if I\'d have to add one more thing it\'d be...
-Graphics.
Of course I\'m expecting a Playstation-killer graphics but I won\'t go mad if they\'re left little bland after all; but like I said they don\'t seem to be bland at all.
