PlayStation 2 GunCon in the Works
« on: February 17, 2001, 08:29:02 PM »
The most-accurate light gun ever created for the original PlayStation is getting a PS2 facelift.

Sources at Namco have informed us that there is a GunCon 2 in the works and it\'s tentatively scheduled for a fall 2001 release in Japan. Namco Ltd. has yet to make an official announcement with regard to this product, so we don\'t have any confirmed information, specs, or a product shot at this time. However, previous reports on the Internet have suggested that the new GunCon will work with the PS2\'s USB port and will be released along with a new shooting game, with the company\'s latest System 246 arcade game, Vampire Night, being the most likely port.
\"In the last 12 months 100,000 private sector jobs have been lost and yet you\'ve created 30,000 public sector jobs. Prime Minister, you cannot carry on forever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fund an unprecidented engorgement of the unproductive bit. You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt.\" - Daniel Hannan
