I must say that I\'m having fun playing it so that means something. Does it fully show what PS2 is capable of? No. But it depends on how you look at it. If you go in expecting the game is going to be a showcase title your going to be disappointed. If you go in with a clean slate you\'ll be pleasantly rewarded. For me, it didn\'t matter because I love star wars to death. But fan or not if any of you are even remotely interested in the space-combat genre I say buy this game.

I must say though that I\'m not a fan of the controls in this game. It just feels a bit awkward and stiff; especially when you want to make quick turns in the game(feels like I\'m tryin\' to maneuver a big trailer around a tight street corner...well maybe not that bad). However the controls do grow on you and it doesn\'t intefere with me having fun(again, this is important). There\'s also a "slide" function you can excute with the brake and turbo buttons to execute a quicker turn.

Graphics?

Nice. Nice and Purty(intended mispelling here). The best? Not quite. It\'s a little rough around the edges if you catch my drift. Also there\'s some pop up. But who cares? The graphics all in all are still top notch and in my opinion next-generation. What is such a joy to watch is laser fire blasting around in space at blistering speed and watching ships in the distance dogfighting. Sweet.

Some other quibbles:
Again as was mentioned by ddaryl, where\'s the radar? Where am I going? This was a mistake. Even though I can find spacecraft this only happens by holding down the square button and hoping your target shows up on screen. Sorry, but I\'m not playing lotto here. I need radar.

Again also mentioned before is that sometimes you feel like you don\'t know what you\'re suppose to do in a given mission. However this is forgiving because after a couple of trials at a particular mission the environment becomes more familiar and the learning aspect of this adds to the fun. So scratch this. I guess it\'s not really a quibble.

I can\'t wait to see what Lucasarts does for a sequel because it can only get better. But again a nice effort from Lucasarts on their first PS2 title
