Cable is like DSL in that it is a faster way to surf the web. It comes through you cable wire which then connects to your cable modem which connects to the NIC in your PC. It usually costs somewhere around $40 a month.

It\'s Broadband... which means it\'s always on, meaning it is not a dial up modem(which is at max 56kpbs), so Cable is upscale websurfing, depending who you get it from, comcast is my provider, and it\'s better than DSL.

I am still on stupid 56k!  But I think I can convince my mom to upgrade to cable.  It is only 10$ more a month than AOL.  I will get Cox@home since DSL is not available in my area!
