After months of waiting, Simchoy Finally Has a PS2! Sorta.

I have two games with it so far, SSX and Bouncer.

Why the **** did you chose Bouncer as one of your two first games?

Okay, technically, it isn\'t MY PS2. Its my brothers (who allows me to play the system almost anytime I want...basically, when he is not there ). So, he chose these games.



Anyways, really, really, early first impressions.

First thing I noticed when playing either game, the system is really noisy. Seems to be a little noiser when playing SSX then Bouncer. I take it, its supposed to be noisy. Now, onto the games...

SSX. Fun game. Controls are sweet. But didn\'t spend a lot of time on this game yet. Which translates to, not so great uhhhhhhhhhhhh...control of my player. But I always suck at sports game anyways. Even these kind of games.

Bouncer. Sorta easy. But the fighting isn\'t as easy as I thought. Kept hitting air. The story, really long FMVs, barely any fighting (from what little I played of it). Pretty graphics though.

Again, didn\'t play much of either game. But I\'m just happy to finally have the system in my grasp!

SSX is a fun game...but why does it make buzzing noises? Mine hasn\'t made noise since I got it, not even when playing SSX. Maybe there\'s something wrong with mine...:rolleyes:

SSX vibrates the hell out of my PS2, I never noticed it before but I was goofing with it a week ago and it vibrates the shelf

tip it vertically and it goes away ????


Why the Bouncer, your Bro should\'ve picked up Onimusha

I have noooooooooooooo clue. I wasn\'t there when he was making his decision on what games to get. My guess, he looked for a game that looked good, and chose Bouncer because, it looks good (lets just say, he isn\'t as informed about gaming as I am). And, not to forget, unlike me, he isn\'t a big fan of action adventure games like Omnimusha and Resident Evil . He is more of a Gran Turismo person (which he is eagarly awaiting, GT3!). Wonder what game he will get next...maybe I\'ll help next time.

and personally i think the bouncer is not all bad - but it is not as good as onimusha - but at least you get to play the PS2

Since you like the Bouncer,why not try and rent Dynasty Warriors2?? It might not have graphics such as the bouncer but it is so darn fun plus 28 medieval Chinese Warriors characters.

ATV is worth it too..

Okay, I do (but before, I was just testing the game). Now that I\'ve played more of it, I don\'t think it is a bad game, just not a great game. Pretty graphics, decent (not great) gameplay, but non-interactive background and ho-hum story mode makes for...a decent fighting game. I personally would\'ve chosen Omnimusha over Bouncer. In fact, I would\'ve chosen a few other games over Bouncer as well. But...since the Bouncer isn\'t all that terrible (thanks to all the bad reviews, didn\'t set my hopes up for this game much), I\'m not complaining much, if at all.

As for Dynasty Warrior 2? Well, the demo of the game I played at Circut City was pretty good. Guess I will rent it someday to play more of it (and if I like it, maybe even buy it). ATV Offroad, like to get that someday as well (and since it is 4-player [something my brother likes, games to play with all his friends and so forth] more reason to get it. ).
