I think All Star Baseball 2002 is much better.

I\'m more of a realistic fan, so that\'s basically the reason. I don\'t really like the "arcady" feel Triple Play offers.

Does Triple Play have that "Big Leage Challenge" thing where you had to hit homers in the house and at the construction yard ands stuff?

I have AS2002, its good but a little boreing, and you can-not play two player in season. If anyone knows if the easports game is better at two player, and better at sound (not as boreing) let me know and I\'ll turn AS2002 back in for TPeasports.

I have TPB and allthough i hate the arcadey play, it has all the other things i want in a game. great create a player and you can control as many teams as you want in season play, plus the players are a little more lifelike in their body sizes.

I\'m not saying ASBB is a bad game but I made my decision and im stickin to it!

GO CUBS!

ASB is way better for purists, it\'s slower paced, but really simulates the game of Baseball a lot more accurately. There are a couple of graphical glitches, but nothing that takes away from the playability. Plus the stat posting is much more detailed than TP. ASB just isn\'t as flashy either.

TP is a faster, get-to-the-action game. The announcers are decent, but it just doesn\'t hold my interest as much. Plus, the "Hollywood" home runs are back in this game, and it\'s pretty annoying.

The graphics in both are absolutely gorgeous. The stadiums and player models are a bit better in ASB (imho), but I like how the crowd looks in Triple Play.

If I could only own one of these, it would be ASB. There are, however, a few things in TP that are done better, but not the things that make or break a game.

By the way, there is one HUGE annoyance in TP. One of the crowd sounds is a guy yelling "Hey Brewers, wake up." Kinda cool a couple of times, but he said it over 50 times in one game, sometimes back to back. That got old REAL quick.

Does TP have profiles for your own name, so you can kept track of your own stats, like in Madden2001? I like to play in season mode with two players, and two diff. teams. When I play my team, my partner plays the team that I play, and when he play his team, I play the team he plays. It\'s fun in Madden, and that\'s what I want in a baseball game AS2002 does not let you do that.

The graphical glitches in ASB are completely cosmetic. Every now and then a player will be facing in not-quite the correct direction to the base that he\'s throwing to. The stadiums and player models, in my opinion, are much better looking than Triple Play. ASB may be perceived by some people as "a little boring," but anyone who takes Baseball at all seriously will appreciate ASB a lot more. I\'m still curious as to what High Heat holds for all of us. No matter what, the PS2\'s a great system to have if you\'re a Baseball fan. WSB on the DC sucked, but there wasn\'t a choice in the matter.
