This is a no-brainer. Japan was set up for the PS2 to dominate. What competition did it face? The DC? No to be exact the only real competitor was PSX. The N64 was dying out and the lack of the PC market over there left an online machine like the PS2 a wide open shot at any online capabilities which is not big right now. Besides if the X-Box an American console can manage to make a dent in that market I would be surprised. It will be hard for any american electronics device to do well in Japan because of thier loyalties to thier own prouducts. I dont say it wont but the chances are slim to none. NGC will do better.

yeah, nintendo seems to be losing hold in Japan. I read a survey saying that less and less little kids are buying consoles in japan.  Thats Nintendos main market. With playstations superior popularity it\'s gonna be a tough one for every one else. As long as nintendo doesn\'t turn into a 3rd party developer for sony  and sony doesn\'t get a monopoly I\'m happy. That would suck, The industry  would go no where
