Do you rent or buy?
« on: April 04, 2001, 12:42:17 PM »
who here buys and who here rents?

what type of games do you rent and what type of games do you buy if you do both?

I rent games... even though i got the cash and all, i still think $50 is bit too much for a game...

i actually might start buying some games since i can sell the game back to EB for like half price sometimes....

On the 15 of March 2002, i was going to leave these forums for good.
But on the 16 of March i realised i couldn\'t ever say bye to you guys, so i am staying here for good!

Buy.
I always buy and keep them, even if I hate them.
Not sure why...

Are you insane! I love her character, she stays.
\"The only thing loves done is put you in this position, I say kill her off!\"
Yeah, but you say a lot of things..

I only buy stuff I am very very sure that I want. Short stuff like the Bouncer and Onimusha I rent because once I beat a game I rarely ever touch it.

I usually buy all my games and then when I get sick of them I trade them for other used games at Software ECT.  I usually end up keeping all my rpgs and a few classics that I always play with my friends.  Like I have all my snes and psx rpgs still but thats about it.  RPGs are like good books, they stay with you for so long after you beat them i just can\'t bring myself to get rid of them.  Everyone in a while rpg songs will pop into my head, this morning it was the opera song from FF3 when celes is singing and I beat that back in  5th or 6th grade (I\'m in 11th grade now).

I buy my ps2 -games as here\'s no opportunity to rent them.

But, I try out them on the shop first. Even to get a small taste of what\'s coming - and where to I\'m putting my money.

Usually the reviews around .net do the job - and the talk / impressions / reviews in here make me to decide.

It\'s been a long while since I last rented a game.  I can\'t even remember what it was, but it was for PSX.  I hardly rent games anymore; I just buy with caution.  If I ever pick up a really bad game, then I just keep it until my local EB has one of its "Trade in 2 PS2 games and get (insert game name here) for free" things goin\' on.

I always rent.  Except for games like FF or a new RE because I just read the reviews on the IGN or something like that the week before it comes to stores.  But, I can\'t take risk like that with that much oney.  I did it once and learned my mistake from that.  What a waste of 40 dollars.  Wish I just rented that frickin game!!
