Who is the best Bond/movie you have seen.
« on: April 07, 2001, 06:28:49 PM »
This thread is for James Bond lovers. Who is the best Bond actor and the best Bond movie? If you had to choose only one film to put in a time capsule, which would it be? I have coupled the actor with my favorite film he has done so when you vote you not only vote for that actor but the films or above flim he has portrayed. My favorite is Connery in Goldfinger, classic Bondage. Moore runs a close second with some solid perfomances. Dalton was underrated and overlooked but viable. Bronson seems stuffy to me. My favorite female counterparts were Pussy Galore(Goldfinger) and Dr. Goodhead(Moonraker). Go ahead vote your best.

I voted for Rogor Moore.

He looks so cool as bond.

And his battles with Jaws are just hilarious :D
I met him 15 years ago, I was told there was nothing left, no reason, no concious, no understanding and even the most rudamentory sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong, I met this 6 year old child with this blang pale emotionless face and, the blackest eyes, the devils eyes, I spent 8 years trying to reach him, and then another 7 trying to keep him locked up because I realised what was living behind that boys eyes was purly and simply evil.

Brosnan, however, looks like James Bond the most, IMO :)

Still, I voted for Roger Moore - as his Bond was different; more humoristic and groovy than other Bonds - I of course loved Sean Connery as well, but I didn\'t like Connery\'s Bond-movies so much.

Moonraker, however, is my favourite Bond movie ( Goldeneye comes to close second ) - as I love the character Jaws, and somehow, Moonraker just is the movie to suit my tastes.

BAH!!!

A better topic would be fave Bond girl. :P

I vote for Denise Richards in The World Is Not Enough.

Also, Michelle Yeoh has got to kick a$$ as a Bond girl.

P. S. - I didn\'t see either of these movies.
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Ursula Andress or Barbara Bach were the best IMO. Pussy Galore, was nice, and the chick that got painted gold in Goldfinger too.

Sean Connery was the best bond.  However, I think the old bond movies are getting pretty dated, now.  So the best movies are the new three, Goldeneye being my fav so far.  I like Brosnan too, and hate the other bonds, though their movies were ok.

Best Bond girl:  Jane Seymour as Solitaire in "Live and Let Die."  Intelligent, mystical, seductive... what else could you ask for?  Watch it again, you\'ll see what I mean.

Best film:  Also "Live and Let Die," even though I hate Roger Moore.  He\'s like a corpse, and he\'s the oldest Bond of the four in this poll.  Yaphet Kotto and Clifton James were awesome in this film.  The best of the Bond pictures filmed in the US.

Best Bond:  Timothy Dalton in "License to Kill."  Mean, vengeful, out of control... NOT sophisticated and effete like Bronson.  Pierce Brosnan has been like a cartoon character in the last few Bond pictures.  I can\'t even shake the feeling when I see him in something else like "The Tailor of Panama."  He\'s still a joke to me.

You guys must be way too newage to understand the ways and words of Bond because the best Bond movie was The Living Daylights starring Timothy Dalton... come on, you people said License to Kill was the best?!  Jesus christ, that\'s the worst movie next to moonraker which also sucked a ton of balls.  Have you people no class or taste?

Also, the best Bond was Sean Connery, no contest.  He got all the girls and looked like a feasible person to actually score with the ladies... Roger Moore... he had Grace Jones, nuff said.  How can people even CONSIDER roger moore to be a decent bond at all?!  I swear to myself, this world is coming to an end.
Don\'t you ever touch my cape.
