Dynasty Warriors 2 - My fav so far.
ZOE (Zone of Enders - not so much for replay D: but still fun)
Star wars Starfighter (only if you like Star Wars, and enjoyed, for instance, rogue squadron for N64, though this is better).

Coming soon?

Final Fantasy X - 2 DVD version
Metal Gear Solid 2 - ooooooh yeah.
Gran Tourismo 3 - Was GT2000, but peh.
FatalXception

Murphy\'s Law - What can go wrong, will.
Poker Law      - Magnum .44 beats four aces.
Cole\'s Law      - Thinly sliced cabbage.

If you, like me, are truly a Final Fantasy fan, go down to my earlier post "magic system of FFX" - download the movies there.  It\'ll take you a while, and even though the recording is ****, once you have them, you\'ll watch them for an hour droning "oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god ...."

I own SSX,TTT(tekken tag) and Fifa2001..

And i STRONGLY suggest renting ssx and seeing what it\'s like....

IMO, Onimusha and Z.O.E seem like a waist of money... maybe just renting them.. :)

It\'s up to you tho Mac depending on what games you like..

yes, SSX is a great game, if you like baseball games then triple play baseball is awesome, that\'s the newest one I have, and I can\'t think of any others that they didn\'t mention.

Welcome to the forums, Natedogg :)

I\'d say get Z.O.E. as your first game - as it has mindblowing graphics, great gameplay ( well, it might get repetitive ) - and the M.G.S.2 demo is going to make your jaw drop :)

Why I recommend Z.O.E. Shane-O? ( btw. welcome to you too ;) ) Because you will immediately realize you made the right choice when you bought ps2, that\'s why :)

I have to strongly disagree. When I played ZOE it made me feel bad (\'DC died for this crap?\'), and compared to the MGS2 demo, it was extremely underwhelming graphics wise. For anyone wondering (based on previous comments I made) I did finally buy it a play it through... although I wish I hadn\'t. If I wanted to be dazzled by a new system, ZOE wouldn\'t be on my list of choices.

SSX is great.
MGS2 demo (it costs $50, but it comes with the full version of ZOE -- free! :))
Timesplitters is extremely fast paced, and has lots of replay value.
Quake III is great (I have always loved the quake engine), but the load times are awful!
DOA2/TTT -- if you like fighting games, either one of these are great. (although DOA2 is more of a button smasher than TTT:))

Future games coming out this year to keep an eye on:

FFX
GT3
Devil May Cry
Twisted Metal Black
Res Evil :CVX
Metal Gear Solid 2
Baldur\'s Gate

Also, go read some reviews at http://ps2.ign.com .  That should help you decide.
