I\'m looking for the best golf game for PS2.  Does anyone have any preferences, and why?

So far the only one I\'ve played is Swing Away Golf.  This game will remind you of Hot Shots Golf quite a bit.  It\'s fun and has a very long (and engrossing at first) career mode.  Rent it and play it for a couple days at least.

Well there\'s Swing Away and Tiger Woods 2001.  Swing away has recieved positive reviews all around, while the TW2001 got mixed reviews.

I\'d go with swing away if you wan\'t a sure-fire hit.

Of course you could wait for Hot Shots Golf 3, not only does it have better graphics then the other 2 (if the screens are any indication, the game will be gorgeous), but it will probably have better gameplay.

I pretty much agree with what VP said. Swing Away is pretty good, nice graphics, and it is a bit like Hot Shots. Tiger Woods has some good things going for it, but erratic controls, and only three courses really keep it down. I\'ve reviewed both of them, and I would recommend Swing Away before Tiger.

The ball physics in Tiger Woods is not accurate.  It\'s a fun game, but it should be realistic for this type of game.  It\'s Tiger Woods for God\'s sake.  The graphics are nothing special but aren\'t bad either.  It could be better.  I would rent Tiger Woods before buying.  Swing Away has received alot of good reviews from alot of the gaming sites I go to, but I haven\'t played it.

I used to be a huge fan of EA\'s PGA games, then the Tiger Woods games started coming out.... god they suck.

Gotta agree w/ the consensus here...I loved the PGA games for PSX before Tiger Woods.  Haven\'t played one until the PS2 version since, and it is a step backwards in gameplay.  Graphics are nice, but only 3 courses sucks.  Still somewhat addictive, but a disappointment in general.

Haven\'t played Swing Away, so can\'t say about that.

Anyone know if Golden Tee series has any chance of coming to PS2?  The newest arcade version of it absolutely kicks ass...
