Black & White will be coming to the PS2!

IMO, If you want B&W to run smoothly you need AT LEAST:

-600mhz
-128mb RAM
-32 mb Graphics Card(Preferably AGP)
-32x CD Drive

My friend has that and it runs smooth as phock. I have a tricked out system so it purrs like a damn kitten.

If its  a PC port of the game it won\'t look as good, if its re-coded form the floor up it could look as good or better.


PC has much easier texture capabilities so naturally the 1st place the game will suffer is there

The fact its planned for this fall screams straight port, and my recommendations is buy it on the PC.

As soon as I upgrade my processor and my video board I\'ll play it on my PC


or If XBox gets a version of Black  and White early in its life I\'d play it there probably since a PC port on XBox would more than likely look better then the PC version and more than likely maintain its online capabilities

I read in PCGamer that Lionhead will soon begin working on games exclusively for the console.  But that issue is a year old now and I was wondering if the plans have changed or not?

Sorry bud, I think it wouldn\'t run too well on that system. Perhaps if you had a better video card, but unfortunately PC games nowadays are demanding. (then again they always have been) ... I\'m running it on this system;

256mb ram
geforce 2 gts/pro


and it still gets jerky @ times.. I\'m really picky about framerates and it can be annoying. (though I\'m playing @ 1024x768x32 with every detail on/maxxed)

This game (if it\'s your type of game) is a great one. If you have a decent PC by today\'s standards then I urge you to give it a shot. You can always purchase it @ EB so if you don\'t like it, you can return it. The AI alone is totally amazing. I think (as usual) the textures would be hurting on the PS2 version.. though it will do everything else just fine. Lastly, the shots they showed of the DC version (@ GameSpot) looked kinda bland.. and the textures weren\'t that great, which is a strength of the DC.
