I think RaCeR is right - I don`t see what the CD or DVD should have to do with it.
Lowering the contrast setting on your TV could help a bit....

Umm, guys, I think he\'s talking partly about what some call jaggies.  When the big stuff with jaggies is father away in the background it causes a wierd flickering effect.  The games mentioned are ones I have that have some jaggies at least.  Every tv that I
ve seen these games played on has the jaggies. Except for maybe the wierd demo screens sony uses.  Anyways, it\'s  from how the game is developed by the developer I believe. I really doubt it\'s dvd\'s cause I have dvd games without the problem and cd games with the problem.  COuld be wrong, just my 5 cents.

PS2 has some incompatibility problems with older TVs.  It may be that this only occurs on DVD games; I don\'t know.

I wish more developers would program on DVD, then loading screens would almost be a thing of the past.  It\'s time for that sh1t to go.

Bottom line:  1-800-345-SONY
This is America and I can still pay for sex with pennies

It happens to me also, and I have a brand new Sony 21". It is to do with how the game engine draws and displays the graphics. Doesn`t help the fact that games usually rendered in only 640 x 480 or less. Low res games will nearly always have this prob.
