Nope. Firstly the performance of the next-gen consoles is based upon the combined power of the main CPU and the graphics processor.
Hence for main CPU only, the order is PS2*, XBox, GC then DC. For GPU/GS, the order is XBox, GC, PS2* then DC. In total, the performance of the consoles should be as follows; XBox, GC, PS2, DC.
*The PS2 fits in uncomfortably within these lists because T&L operations are carried out by the EE, not the GS.
How big (or small) the performcne gap is between each console on that list remains to be seen.
Excuse me Dr Yassam...but there\'s something that I don\'t understand....
May you show me something tangible which proves X-Box is the most powerful console ? (it\'s a sincere question...not a "provocation"
)
...I mean...the NV2A has incredible specs but I\'d like to see what a P3(a 32 bit processor - cisk tecnology) + NV2A + Unified Ram can DO !
How efficently the X-Box can work with a Weak - Cisk - CPU ? ...and how many data can the X-Box manage with unified RAM ? Texture-compression,Z-compression and Vertex compression is enough to solve the "problem" of slow Unified RAM ?
In a word...can the X-Box manage more polys,more detailed textures,more physics,AI,and far more data required for a more advanced Game than GC and PS2 through "6.4 Giga/sec" ?
I think "NO!".....but sure I could be wrong so...try to explain to me
(be honest please
)
