Xbox is based on an old architecture. There are NO secrets to be found in coding that beast. That said, you won\'t see a jump in graphical performance because all the tricks of coding have been known for YEARS (PC architecture). So with the Xbox it\'s, what you see at launch will be 80% of what you\'ll see 2 years later, IMO.
However, as is constantly brought up and harped on, the PS2\'s architecture is virtually unheard of. The dual sub processors (VU0, VU1) and the other very "unique" (read-pain in the ass) programming aspects will mean pretty average coding at first and near unbelievable preformance later on. We\'re looking at a 40-50% jump in game complexity (graphics), where the X will have maybe 20%
Technically the PS2 really is a damn monster. When the engines, and librarys are finally tweeked to form to the PS2 we will see next gen PS2 games that look better than Xbox, IMO.
