What happened to the Konami Xbox announcements?
« on: May 18, 2001, 08:53:17 PM »
Hey,
just curious, any news on MGSX or Silent Hill X?
I remember hearing for the longest time, the announcement would be made at E3.
Well...better luck next year.

That was all a load of B.S. from the begining. Somehow, even though Kojima himself had been quoted saying that MGSX was not even in development and would not be until MGS2 was finished, people were absolutely convinced that the game was going to be shown at E3. I\'m not expecting anything on MGSX until at least next years E3.

As for Silent Hill X I think its already been shown at TGS, so any doubts about its existance had already been put down.

I hoped in the back of my mind, but never expected MGSX to be unveiled by E3.  I doubt it hasn\'t been started even though.... I just think Kojima is being respectful of Sony, and keeping MGSX on the downlow until a much later date, to do as little damage to PS2 as possible. Of course, this is speculation, none of us know. One thing that is known however, is MGSX was announced by Konami.
