Brief: KOEI has shared some new information, and more pieces of media for the PS2 sequel.

Fans of the previous Dynasty Warrior games will be pleased to know that the third installment is coming to the Playstation 2, and the development of the title will be handled by KOEI Corporation of Japan.
At the E3 show, we stumbled across KOEI\'s VP, Haru Akenaga. Thanks to him, we were informed of a number of new features that will be presented in Dynasty Warriors 3:


2 Player Co-op and versus modes
Full voice over in all cut scenes
New Musuo attacks and warrior customizing
New Elephant troops
So far, about 28 levels as opposed from 5 on the previous version
So far, about 41 characters
It seems like a lot has been included in the new Dynasty Warriors 3, but how much have they have improved the game, overall, will have to be judged by you. Just download our videos and see for yourself, and take a look for yourself.

i but my Mate has it on loan, in fact he\'s had it for 3 weeks

hope they make like the original, not the crappy dw2, i though it sucked, first one was good

As long as they DONT change it from the second one gameplay wise, I will love it.
Especially if they implement I-link capatibility.
I will be quite stoked.

I agree with u Faithdies,

at least KOEI should implement an option to use I-link or split-screen because split screen tends to put a heavy load on the processor in other words ,it is doing double job.

With cooperative play at least in hard mode there is somebody to cover one of the 4 battle fronts of the hardest stage of Wu Zhang plains.

Im looking forward to this. Couldnt be bothered downloading the movies. But it sounds good with so many levels! 40 odd!!! That will be cool. They better be at least as big as the levels in DW2, with less fogging.

I hope there will be

less fogging
better backgrounds
more intelligent troups
more diverse gameplay
option to control the troops.

I found Dynasty Warriors 2 very redious after about half an hour. No diversity! Slash, slash, slash. At leat ZoE had more variation on the places you went and a proper ongoing story. And DW2 had too much fogging, boring backrounds, and well, you get the idea.


I hope DW3 is vastly improved.

Sure it was repetitice but there was just something about it that I found enjoyable.

Maybe it\'s the killing of about 1000 people each level. Just charging straight into the middle of about 30 enemies was cool.

I´m going to download them in a few minutes... I love my 33kb modem

You need lots of map analysis in DW2,you will understand better if you play hard mode.Examples are which general is attacking,which general has the most number of troops and is the biggest threat.What event could triggers enemy\'s morale out.

Call me crazy but im still playing this game up to this day.Those hard stages are sure fun.

In game extra features include personal troops health management and fast General killing skills.
