schoolies was the week for misadventures... I don\'t even remember most of them
I was always just told everything in the morning that happened. Nothing too crazy happened, but a friend of mine had a pretty crazy trip one day at a party.
At about 10:30, he decided to leave. He\'d been drinking hard since midday, and was in all sorts of trouble. He turned down getting lifts, and decided to walk it hom (a half hour or more walk, with bush and scrub around the area where the party was).
In any case, he started walking... walking walking. He started to realise something was wrong after about 2 hours. Anyhoo, this lad\'s mobile phone tone was old mcdonald (you need to know this for the next part of the story).
Anyhoo, all this time has passed, we\'re still at the party, and we still haven\'t heard from him (he was meant to call from his house when he got there). So we called him, and he said he was in trouble... he was SUBURBS away from his house.... and something bad had happened to him.
Well, a few friends drove way out to whereever he went, and picked him up from the side of the road where he was. It turns out, what happened was this:
He was walking along in usual drunken manner, when a blue ute powered around the corner, saw him on the side of the road, and swerved to hit him. He reacted just in time, and only copped the side of the car. The impact sent him rolling into a rocky, prickle laidened gullly, where he did severe damage to his ribs, and got cut up pretty badly. He scrambled to his feet, and began to climb the rocky, prickly side. Half way up this gully (this is when we phoned him), he hears the tune of old mcdonald playing. He had suffered almost broken ribs, cuts, and bruises, he was climbing up the side of a rocky gully, and he still answered the phone like this
"Hello, Nathan hale speaking"
hahahahhaha, unbelievable. He refused medical attention for ages too. What a trooper
