Well, well, well... There was six of you left... two of you answered... I\'m Impressed... however the rest of you are pathetic... so luckily I get to lose you this round.  At the conclusion of this round we will have narrowed the contestant pool down to half.  Well, on with the game.

Gohan\'s Response[/U][/I]

THey should both get a coin for each of the loaves they brought. One should get 3 coins and the other 5. Any other way wouldn\'t be fair.

FatalXception\'s Response[/U][/I]

At first glance, you might say 5 for the 5 loaf shepherd (Shep 1), and 3 for the 3 loaf shepherd(Shep 2). However:

Mathematically, each man ate 2 and 2/3rds of a loaf. Meaning:
Shep 1: contributed 2 and 1/3rd of a loaf to the hunter.
Shep 2: contributed 1/3rd of a loaf to the hunter.
That means that Shep one contributed 7/8ths of the hunter\'s bread, and Shep two contributed 1/8th of his bread.
So Shepherd one gets 7 bronze coins, and Shepherd two gets 1 bronze coin.

The Answer[/U][/I]

If there were eight loaves and three men, each man ate two and two-thirds loaves. So the first shepherd gave the hunter one third of a loaf and the second shepherd gave the hunter two and one-third loaves. The shepherd who gave one-third of a loaf should get one coin and the one who gave seven-thirds of a loaf should get seven coins.

Heh heh, it\'s soooo very unfortunate that your post (Gohan) was immediately followed by my first line... but newho, since you bothered to answer you didn\'t get my vote.  Pheonix has 3 and Gohan has 3 - everyone else has 0 right now, so my vote was with pheonix, who hasn\'t bothered to come back to the forum since he signed up for this game.
