Here\'s where you say your fave ever music in a video game. It can be from any system, and game, any period in time. And also, it can be for any reason, because it was ambient, because it was at a certain moment, because it was emotional, or maybe cos it was just plain cool, anything, just your fave in game music.

For me, I\'d have to say a few games. All the wipeout games have had good sountracks, but of all I\'d have to go for Wipeout 2097 (known elsewhere as WO: XL). It just screamed class. Also, the music from tekken 2 was awesome, best in the series, especially the music for Yoshimitsu\'s stage, it was maybe the most fitting combo of stage and music i\'ve yet experienced in a game.

As for old school, I\'d say another of my fave game soundtracks, which includes both music AND SFX, was Equinox for the SNES. If anyone has played it, they know what I mean, it was truly an experience to play, sheer ambience.

Anyhoo, post away

EDIT: HOW could I forget FFVII?!?!?!?!?? DAMN that\'s my fave music ever in a game.... cawww

well, add FFVII to my list :D
Probably the earliest flyswatters were nothing more than some sort of striking surface attached to the end of a long stick.

Overall, its a tie between Xenogears and Chrono Trigger (Yasunori Mitsuda is a genius)

My single favorite game song ever is the Xenogears "Flight" track. But then again, Xenogears didn\'t have a single bad track at all:)

Other notables:

Silent Hill Theme (if you listen closely, you hear a woman sob near the end, it\'s a great theme, and some of the only music you hear in the entire game:D)

A number of FF tracks... too many to really list, but FF7\'s soundtrack was the best overall, followed by FF6.

The first RE had excellent music, perfect for the atmosphere. Then in the DualShock Director\'s cut version they butchered it:(

I really loved Star Ocean 2\'s music, for the most part. That whole game was incredibly surreal, and the music was most responsible.

There\'s a lot more, but those are the highlights.

My fave song is Sephiroths music, but my fave whole game music would be Tenchu.

That game had kick ass Japanese music. Great stuff :smokin:
A schizophrenic patient will not allow anyone to touch them; not because they would do them some harm, but because they might electrocute them.
