Tekken 4: Same pictures, only bigger! (much more detailed)

Well so far VF4 looks better, but this game has a long way too go. So I will save judgement. I mean  it does not look all the great, but it is not that bad. At least the screens are not worst than TTT. Then I would see something to be mad about. It is still early in development I am sure they will improve.

Actually, it\'s coming out 33 days.  July 20th is the release date for Japan arcades.  I think by what has been shown, this game is going to rock.  Look at the background on the Jungle level!  If all that area is playable, it\'s going to be a great level.  

You people who are complaining need to remember that we have seen big, detailed, high resolution DOA3 pics.  We have only seen these 4 pictures of Tekken 4, scanned from smaller pics in a video game magazine.  They must be at least a few months old, because paper magazines are slow getting information out.  I can\'t say if Tekken 4 will look better than DOA3 or VF4, or even play better than either of them.  What I can say is what I\'ve said all along:  Namco knows what they\'re doing.  They are not stupid.  They know there is going to be a lot of competition between fighting games this generation, and I\'m sure they have prepared for it.  This is just my oppinion (coming from a Tekken fanboy ), but I think Tekken 4 will completely rule!  I can\'t wait!

Well arcade graphics sux compared to the console. I mean look at TTT in the arcade it sucks compared to the ps2 version. If this only the arcade version and not the console one. I expect when it hits ps2 it will be ten times better.

No, it won\'t.

Tekken 4 is being developed for the System 246, the arcade board version of the PS2, so it will look just like the arcade.

Anyway, Namco is well known for their graphically impressive games, and i really doubt that this one will be an exception. I\'m more interested in seeing how Namco has modified the gameplay of the series, as they have introduced things like interactive backgrounds and such. That will completely redefine how the whole game is played.

PS: If they don\'t include a 60 Hz mode in the PS2 version i\'ll pass on this game( i\'m getting pretty tired of this thing).

Falgarok is right.  The arcade board is exactly the same as the PS2, except it has a lot more RAM.  So the PS2 version might look worse depending on if they stream everything or not.  If it\'s all streamed in, it could look the same, but if it\'s all stored in RAM, the PS2 version will look like crap compared to the arcade version.

I agree the reason TTT looked so much better than the arcade one is because TTT was on system 12(slighty enchanced ps1).  Compare the power to ps1 and ps2 there no comparson I would have hoped namco improve TTT instead of a straight port of it.  That\'s one thing about namco they go all out for there home ports and will do the same with Tekken 4........

The arcade board wasn\'t system 246, it was System 12 (read: Playstation) graphics.  I\'m not impressed with these shots at all, then again, I\'ve never been impressed with Tekken.  Virtua Fighter 4 and DOA3 for me!!
