Lara Croft : Tomb Raider - Utterly Brilliant

Just went and saw the very first session of Tomb Raider in Brisbane.

It actually exceeded all my expectations. I was expecting some crap o\'ll movie that was going to be really dodgy.

But it wasn\'t. If you can accept that these days, stories like this have weird plot lines, then you\'ll be fine. The action sequences were very well done, and Jolie played the part perfectly. Everything from the way she walked, talked and moved, was exactly what you would think Lara would do, and how she would do it.

I think the problem with most reviewers of the movie (who have not liked it) is because they are thinking of it as a \'game\' that is now a \'movie\'. If you think of it as a stand alone \'movie\' that is based around a character found in a \'game\' then you\'ll love it, because it really is good, and at times, very funny.

I was trying to post this last night but the PA site was fuXored up beyond repair.....well until it was repaired.

I honestly don\'t know what people thought was so bad about it.

I have recently seen Mummy Returns, Moulin Rouge, and Shrek.

Apart from Shrek, I enjoyed Tomb Raider the most.

If you look at it for what it is, it is a great movie, along the lines of Charlie\'s Angels. It doesn\'t try to take itself to seriously, which is a good thing. It is in a way, a parody about the game, and I think that it was done quite well.

Lets hope theres a sequal in the works with Jolie.

There is,atleast there should be because she signed up for 2 movies.

All my friends said it sucked.  One of my friends saw it for free and he told me half way through the movie he wanted to just walk out!

Go and judge it for yourself, because I thought that it was great.

Well, this IS the first positive review I\'ve read about Tomb Raider

But usually I don\'t care what the critics say. I\'m going to see it, no matter what.

I still wait for A.I. like no tomorrow. Early criticism has already hit the movie hard, but I don\'t care.
