I didn\'t say everyone would get sick. Not everyone will. But, I\'ve noticed quite a few people do. This by no means accounts for every Virtual Boy owner. This is just a general obseravation.

The Virtual Boy was a bad idea from a marketing positon.

There was no possible effective way to market what the system was suppose to deliver- the \'3D effect\'.

This was also a portable system. A very hefty and uncomfortable portable system. I am not sure why Nintendo wanted to sell this off as portable. They would of done much better selling it just as a console. But then again, it isn\'t even a console. Yikes.

Playing tennis in "3D" may be kick ass, but that doesn\'t sell the units when every other piece of the puzzle is missing. Which makes the Virtual Boy , Nintendo\'s first big failure.

For some reason, I always start tasting bile everytime someone mentions how cool the Virtua Boy was. I suppose, in it\'s own quaint little way, it could be amusing. But it was hardly close to a VR system like it\'s name implys. It was more like going to see an old 50\'s 3D movie with the red and blue glasses. Lord only knows where we\'d be if this little black beauty was released and actually became popular.

Now THAT\'S what I\'m talking about. Motion sensors that turn the view in the direction you\'re head is turning, simulated stereo through headphones so you can hear what direction the enemy is comming from, and two easy on the eyes full color LCD screens to display the action. I remember being so hyped up about this when I was a little kid, but it ended up getting sacked for "saftey reasons". (Sega was afraid little kids who played it would become too imersed and run into walls and things)

We need something like this for the 128 bit generation. Imagine a VR helmet and an "Activator" motion sensing peripheral you could use while playing VF4 or DOA3 on the PS2 or Xbox. Instead of just passively pushing buttons, you could actually BE in the fight. Couple this with one of those vest peripherals that shock you when you\'re hit, and you\'d have one hell of a sweet gaming setup!!

Atari also had a device almost exactly like that in development for the Jaguar but it was scrapped for safety reasons also..:(
