how much are they? and how do they work? I kinda wanna get one but don\'t know exactly how they work.

will they put more fun into the games?? well, I guess they will if you use them after you have beaten the game.
No missions too difficult, No sacrifice too great.  Duties first.

What Gameshark does is temporarily alter the game\'s coding and changes variables, like make you have 900 lives or infinite ammo. You need codes (http://www.cmgsccc.com is by far the best place to get em), enter them in your gameshark, and I don\'t know if the CDX one works differently from my oldfashioned model, but you can save the codes and use them anytime.

Does it take the fun out of the game? Well, yes and no. Obviously you should never cheat your first time through a game, but I see GS as a reward for beating a game. Some codes allow you to do some amazing stuff, like:

FF7:

Skip the entire 2nd disc
walking through walls, adds an entirely new dimension to the game.
Have sephiroth in my party

RE2:

Beat Leon\'s B game in 25 minutes flat:D
Discover lots of unused and unseen items, like a chemical that lets you make your own Grenade Launcher rounds
Play Claire\'s game as Chris Redfield

Gameshark for PS2: $40 @ Wal-Mart.  It looks like a memory card, and uses didks to store/retrive codes.  The PS2 Gameshark ONLY HELPS WITH PS2 GAMES, except for about a couple hundred games that are provided on a special "bonus CD."  THe biggest benefit would be if you also buy the Shark Link ($30), which allows you to connect your Game Shart to your computer.  That way you can download other peoples game saves too!

yea i want a game shark and then i don;t want one

having it there is way too tempting to use when you get stuck in a game - it sits there and beckons you to use it

its a very evil thing indeed - but it does have some uses
