Following reports that Zone of the Enders, Konami’s high profile mech fighter, was heading to Game Boy Advance from PlayStation 2, the company has confirmed the name of the game to be Z.O.E. 2173 Testament. Top in-house developer KCEJ is handling the project.
In the wake of the news, strong rumour began to circulate that the franchise is currently being converted to Xbox, although company reps were remaining tight-lipped on the subject. No details could be gleaned on the location of the development of the project, time frame, or anything else to do with the game.
Konami is one of few Japanese publishers to actually confirm Xbox games, the only two officially in the works being Silent Hill X and AirForce Delta 3.
We’ll have more in the coming weeks.
