Gamecube sports

Well since Aaron felt the need to close down my other thread because he hates that gamecube pick. Well it was my first time seeing it because I don\'t follow everything gamecube and I thought it had good facial animation.

Well I hope you don\'t close this thread because I still would like to talk about gamecube sports if that is alright with you.

Nintendo has never been champ when it comes to sports. I would really like to see gamecube with some great sports games. I can only remember 2 fun sports games I have ever liked on nintendo. And that was Double dribble, and Techmo superbowl. Those where the first football/basektball games I had played on any console. Well I take that back because I do remember playing a basketball game on Atari, but I can\'t remember the name.

But back to my topic. I n64 suffered the same. No good sports games. I mean outside of wrestling games nintendo just can\'t seem to have those top sports games. I hope they don\'t bring back the ken griffy baseball games I mean the world can do without thoughs they are not that good. And even though I like the facial animations iN Nba Inside Court. The gameplay always sucks.

So I hope nintendo can get some great sports game. Because I think nintendo needs some good sports games so it can capiture those gamers that flock to madden on psx and Nba live. Although nintendo has always had those games. They have never been good as the ones on playstaion. Well I hope that all changes.

Taken From NextGen\'s interview of Peter Main
NG: How important is it to change your perception as a kids-game company?
PM: We\'ve had relative success with Perfect Dark and Conker\'s, but [to capture the older market, it\'s] really about a lot of pure sports, which EA brings to the equation, and some of which we\'ll get from Left Field. Its about doing better forms of Wave Race; its about product from Silicon Knights.........

I think GCN is going to be doing pretty good when it comes to sports gaming. They have EA, Sega Sports, and Left Field making games for them.

[EDIT]BTW, What was wrong with the other thread? I can\'t figure out why Aaron closed it.

Well I hope madden is good on gamecube, Since I will be getting it on ps2. I did not know sega was making sports games on nintendo. Well I hope they make a better Nba inside court. I mean even if sega does make a sports game on gamecube I would already have it on Xbox. I am getting NFL fever on xbox because I will have madden on ps2. And Nba Inside drive on xbox because I will have LIVE on ps2. See what I am saying nintendo needs some sports games that are not ports. Although nothing is wrong with sports ports I just hope they are good.

Acclaim will be making sports titles like All Star Baseball, too.  Midway will be making arcade-sports games as usual.  And yes, Sega is going all-out multi-console with its sports division.  I think they\'ve only confirmed Virtua Striker so far, though...  All that plus EA and extreme sports that pop up from Wave Race to Tony Hawk and on paper, Nintendo has sports covered...

Sega Sports confirmed all of their sports frachises; but they are not coming until next year and Virtua Striker is made by Sonic Team(If I remember correctly) and they are the ones who made that announcement.

EA is bringing its full line of sports titles to the Gamecube, and so is Sega Sports and developers such as Midway, etc. (Blitz...).

As for exclusives, there will be NBA Courtside 2002 by Left Field and Virtua Striker 3 from Sega. I\'m sure Left Field will begin working on more titles soon.

The only sport game I like from Nintendo is "Arch Rivals" for NES.  I could play that game for hours and hours!  Any body els played it?  They should make it for gc!
