Ok this game is one ***** to find, so I ordered on wednesday night from http://www.amazon.co.uk and got it saturday morning.

It wasn\'t selophane (sp?) wrapped which bugs me, esp considering the returns policy states that games that are unsealed can\'t be returned. This makes me worry that this could be a returned game from someone. Although EB\'s wasn\'t sealed and I know that was a returned copy, Games X\'s copy wasnt sealed neither. So least from amazon I know its only been out two weeks so its unlikely that someone has got it and returned it and then ive got it in the space of 2 weeks, also I haven\'t heard of them selling second hand games before unlike EB. Amazon\'s return policy is quite strict so someone trying this probably just go to EB. In short im trying to persuade myself that this is new and im the only one who has used it. So back me up. :) Anyway the evidence points to that it is new. So Ill stop worrying about it. :)

Ahem onto the game.

Ok Ill do the full review later when i\'ve had a chance to play it more.

I have played this game for an hour and it already seems pretty decent. It forces you to buy a car straight away without even showing you the game modes or allowing you to see the option screens which seems a bit full on. :)

The highway is class. Im still on the first section as I came againest the boss, quit, reloaded and all the highway was full of chanlenges again and im not sure if I have to clear them all.

Even with the first section it is pretty class. As you swoop into more populated areas of highway with road ways flying above you and then back out onto the more ring road type highways. You also get to choose the direction you want to take which is nice. Although a lot of these are locked until I unlock them, but its easy to tell that the completly unlocked highway will be massive with constant turn offs and sections.

I really like this idea of using a living breathing highway instead of a track, it gives a completly different feel to the game. Anyone who has played the above average Midnight Club Street Racing will know what I mean.

This game unfortunatly doesn\'t have either 50/60 Hz or Screen Centering but I wasn\'t expecting either. In addition the boarders are fairly big. The upside to this is that i\'ve noticed no slowdown (just a tad choppy video intro which is explained in another thread, for the reason for this).

Anotherwords the game is playable, better than Onimusha Warlords for conversion, not as good as Tekken Tag.

The graphics seem nice. Its all a bit flicky, this could be due to the jaggies. Jaggies are our friend however as they make this game looks as chrisp as anything. I haven\'t seen a blurred texture as such.

Oh yeah the game crashed on me. If this is a common thing I won\'t be happy. I had played the game for ages and it just locked up. I know this happens and its rare. It hasn\'t ever happened with any of my other games though. Lets just hope this is a one off.

Anyway respond if you want to comment on the amazon thing, the game or just chat. Ill have the real review soon enough.

I doubt it is a returned disc, you\'d be able to tell by looking at the underside of the disc, it shouldn\'t have ANY marks atall, new discs always feel sharp round the edges too.

E-mail Amazon if your are worried they\'re one of the most helpful companies I have dealt with. They refunded my money before I had even sent the game back!

My crazy taxi was sealed, shame it has bugs. That crashed on me too.

You tend not to expect bugs in console games, PC yes.
Although more and more either, badly manufactured discs or games with bugs.

My first DOA2 had problems reading the disc sometimes, exchanged it and it\'s working fine now.

I have had 3! copies of Crazy Taxi all had EXACTLY the same bugs. So after the 3rd copy I just accepted it.
I red alot of reviews/personnal comments who say the game has issues.

So two games purchased, two games with problems, as you can imagine i\'m not exactly exstatic about Sony\'s quality control.

Companies will NEVER tell you there software has known bugs, that\'s where forums like this are useful.

Ok thanks for reassuring me. Just for info the CD has no marks on it at all so I presume its new.

I did speak to the guy in my local games exchange style shop. He told me that although he does recieve games that are sealed not all of his games are sealed which he recieves. Anotherwords he recieves unsealed new games sometimes.

As for bugs in games. Yeah I know what you mean. Hardware is the same. I recently purchased a Belinea monitor and boy was that a mistake. It has these anonying features that even when swapping the thing makes no difference. There like design flaws.

I don\'t think ill contact amazon, acusing this game of being a returned game in two weeks of release is probably a bit far fetched, although there is evidence to indicate it if I really wanted to convince myself which I don\'t. Theres also evidence to indicate its a new game so im sticking with that.

I think the best thing to do is t post on forums like this when you find a fault with a product so others can see they are not the only one with problems.

When my Crazy Taxi started acting a bit funky it really bothered me, but after I did a search on the net I found at least half a dozen other reviews/users describing the same problems. I didn\'t care after that because I knew I was not the only one and the games has problems. Make sense?

I play it to death and I absolutely love it.

To be honest, sealed games are quite a rarity, companies often remove the wrapping for various reasons, to check the contents etc.

I just hope my GT3 is flawless ;)

Yeah sealed games are hard to find with only EB selling them locally.

I also know what you mean about the forums. They rock! :)

WOHOO. Yay, another person got this game other than me! hehehe. I let my friend borrow it for quite a while and just got it back a few days ago. I was halfway thru and now I\'m almost done. I have beaten 398/400 cars. One more wanderer and I get to face the last boss. :D
