Why I won\'t buy a PS2

1. I do not like the idea of having to buy extras in order to have a hd or online play capabilities.

2. I have patience and would rather wait until more systems come out and compare. ;)

3. Wait for a price drop to save me some $ :)

*4. I never had a PSX!!!  Buying a PS2 opened up a gigantic library of games for me!

You REALLY don\'t like the ps2 do you?  Let\'s take a look at your other thread topics:

"You could never convince me that this screen isn\'t real . . ."
"God, could someone tell IGN to get some better looking screenshots?"
"Tekken 4 Screens are . . . not that pretty"

And that\'s all in one day??  You don\'t have to like the ps2, that\'s fine, but if you hate it so much then why the hell are you here?  Go ahead to EB, reserve your xbox and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiitt.

Ok . . . that *4. I never had a PSX!!! Buying a PS2 opened up a gigantic library of games for me! part gave me a laugh. LOL :)

Listen bud, I don\'t wanna get on a rant and make peeps think im an asshole like u. The screenshot post was not against the PS2. I was complementing the graphics. The Tekken 4 screen post was just about not a lot of detail in the game\'s graphics. And the IGN thing had NOTHING to do with the PS2. Think before you open u mouth bud.

Exactly. Why are you telling us you aren\'t buying one? Just don\'t buy it if you don\'t want too. You don\'t have to come to a PS2 forum and start posting "I won\'t buy one.. yadda..yadda."

I\'m glad I brightened up your day.  And I\'m glad that we have someone here to keep us "real" with the down-low of PS2\'s competitors.

I\'ve bought more PSX games than PS2 games.  So many games that I wanted to play.  Plus, I personally didn\'t shelve out the $299, I got it as a gift.  Go me.  Rah rah sis boom bah.

I think I am beginning to understand XBOX4EVER2 and his viewpoints.  Although, I still think he\'s mostly out to bash the system, especially coming to a PS2 board with a screename like his.  

But, you do have some valid points as to why you don\'t want to buy it.  If you want to save money then go ahead and wait for the price to drop to where you\'ll feel comfortable with it.  But, if you plan on never buying the system, then your just denying yourself of some great games.  Hey, it\'s your life and your decisions so go ahead and do whatever...

I do not "bash" systems. I "share" my opinions about the different consoles. I might like something on one more than the other, like one\'s games more than the other, etc.
