The Pledge is an excellent movie. I personally am glad I purchased it. Sure it doesn\'t have many extras, but I don\'t care. I don\'t even look at most the extras on my discs.

I am in the too many to post category as well. I have a couple hundred.  I have started trading in some of them though.  It use to be so easy to buy them on the internet for about 5 bucks shipped that I bought tons.  Now I don\'t really buy too many anymore.  We don\'t go to the movies since I can\'t stand the movie experience anymore for the most part.  I almost always get stuck sitting next to some kid who wants to talk to me or sitting in front of someone with his feet propped on my head.
I wear a necklace now because I like to know when I\'m upside down.

I decided not to post my list because I also have way too many DVDs to fit in here without annoying everyone.

Regarding your comments about moviegoing:  I am so addicted to movies that I\'ve found a way around every one of those little annoyances like the ones you mentioned Videoholic.  I almost always go to the first matinee showing on Saturday or Sunday.  All the lazy families go in the afternoon, and the couples show up at night, so I miss most of the crowds.  I sit pretty close to the screen.  I only go to the theaters with the best projection and sound in the LA area, and for most of them I\'ve found the optimal distance really is the 3rd or 4th row.  I like to be overwhelmed by the image. :)  If I\'m going to a drama or something I have nothing to worry about because the old folks like to sit in the back row.  (I\'ve never understood that... if you eyesight is failing, shouldn\'t you sit closer?  oh well)  If it\'s a picture marketed to kids then I have to sit a little closer because they have less hesitation to sit close to the screen.

Ah Los Angeles is a great city to see movies in.  My favorite theaters are the General Cinema Beverly Connection 6 and/or Hollywood Galaxy, Mann\'s Chinese Theater, the Cinerama Dome (whenever it reopens!), the Cineplex Odeon Showcase, and a few others.

Yeah , I know it. I really have to cut down on buyin\' DVDs. I went through a "spell" where I bought around two a week for a few months.

I completely understand. I would walk into Best Buy and have 4-5 DVDs in my hand. I had to quit while I was ahead.

Exactly what I do. Go watch the movie\'s first showing on Sunday morning. The theatre is practically dead and I can enjoy the movie w/o the \'cool people\' trying to make funny comments. I do prefer to watch movies @ home now though. Gotta love DVDs.. and good riddance to VHS tapes.

If you guys are seriously into buying DVDs.  Go to http://www.dvdtalk.com  There is usually a discussion about Columbia House in their DVD Bargains Forum.  This is the cheapest wya to go right now for DVDs.  There are numerous codes to use at CH that are unpublished.  That\'s how I got tons of mine.
